Matthew D. Levy joined the firm in January 1998 and manages Metnick & Levy’s litigation and trial unit. He has participated in nearly 40 jury trials. A Board–Certified Civil Trial Lawyer by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education, he is considered a specialist in civil trial law. Mr. Levy, who was born in New York and raised in New Jersey, is known for his meticulous preparation, competitiveness, and attention to detail. Mr. Levy typically handles the firm's catastrophic injury, wrongful death, complex liability, and defective product cases.

Mr. Levy is a graduate of the University of Delaware (B.A. – 1991) and received his law degree from Nova Southeastern University Law School in 1994. In 2000, at the age of 30, Mr. Levy became a partner with the firm. Three years later, he achieved board certification at the age of only 33 and in 2005, he became a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Mr. Levy was one of the first members of his graduating law class to hold either of these distinctions. In 2009, Mr. Levy was re–certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in civil trial law. He has litigated more than 1,000 negligence cases involving personal injury and wrongful death and is well known and respected by the defense bar as being well prepared and tough, yet also fair and diplomatic. He has litigated several cases which have resolved for over $1 million.

Mr. Levy maintains a strong and active relationship with plaintiff lawyer associations throughout the State of Florida and beyond, where he routinely obtains and exchanges legal research and hot–off–the–press information with fellow attorneys. Mr. Levy is also frequently contacted by other personal injury attorneys who seek his strategic advice and opinions, memorandums of law, and background information on defenses expert witnesses, for which he keeps an arsenal of materials in the firm’s database.

Mr. Levy has resided in Florida since 1991, and currently lives in Boca Raton with his wife, Dana, their sons, Steven and Connor, and their dogs, Duke and Sunny. His passion, work ethic and motivation in helping injured accident victims has helped Mr. Levy achieve great success early in his legal career.
